Slalom specialist, Elli Terwiel, a member of Canada’s Olympic Ski Team in Sochi, was a guest speaker at the Rural Expo and Trade Show in Barriere on Apr. 27. TerwieI spoke about her journey to become the best that she can be on the ski hill, and the set backs that have crossed her path. She provided an enthusiastic look at setting personal goals and the satisfaction of attaining them. Terwiel interacted with her predominantly young audience after the talk, and took the time to pose for pictures and encourage those present to believe in themselves.
