Don’t forget to enter the North Thompson Fish and Game Club Society annual Father’s Day Fishing Derby coming this weekend on Sunday, June 19.
The family event runs this Sunday from 6 a.m to 4 p.m.
Entry tickets are available at RE/MAX Integrity Realty in Barriere or call to find out the name of a member that has tickets available. Entry tickets must be purchase by Saturday, June 18. Adult entry cost $5 per adult - children under 16 are inclusive of adult entry.
The event will be based at the Fadear Park Bandshell where competitors will have their fished weighed, enjoy a concession on site, and participate in a free draw for competitors until the dozens of prizes run out.
Derby prizes include; Game Fish - Legal Size any Lake within 50 km radius of Barriere Bandshell, and a Hidden Weight Pulled at 4 p.m. for the Grand Prize Winner.
The North Thompson Fish and Game Club Society is a community non-profit organization for outdoor sportsmanship with fishing, hunting, archery and teaching and training youth the right way to enjoy the outdoors.
