The Junior golf program has started at Chinook Cove Golf and RV, and runs every Monday (excluding statutory holidays) through to Sunday, Aug. 24. This program is for children ages 7 to 13. For just $12.50 your child can receive two hours of “on course” instruction, and the required clubs and balls can be provided if needed.
Junior golfers play the bottom four holes and compete for longest putt, with every child receiving a prize at the end. Instruction covers grip, stance, basic swing and putting.
The idea behind the Junior Golf program is to provide an opportunity for youngsters to play in a non-competitive environment with other kids their age. Participating children must be mature enough to take instruction and be able to participate safely, otherwise they must be accompanied by an adult.
