Local soccer girls bring home bronze from Provincial competition

Congratulations to local teen athletes, Kiera and Taylynn Eustache, who competed on the U18 Interior Heat Soccer Team recently at the Aboriginal Provincial Soccer Championships in Prince George, B.C., and brought home bronze medals for their team efforts.

Taylynn was also named to the All Star Team at the closing ceremonies.

Team members were all from the Interior region, including Simpcw, Kamloops, Chase, Merritt, Vernon, Kelowna, and Penticton.

The Regional teams consisted of Vancouver Island, Fraser, Northwest, Northeast, and Interior.

The gold winning teams now go on to compete at the 2017 NAIG (National Aboriginal Indigenous Games) in Toronto, Ontario.

There is a Facebook page for Aboriginal Provincial Soccer Championship, and the final games were live streamed so family and friends were able to watch online.
