Approximately 80 entrants participated in this year’s annual Father’s Day Fishing Derby put on by the North Thompson Fish and Game Club.
Participants enjoyed the day fishing on various lakes in the area and met later in the afternoon at the Barriere Bandshell for the weigh in.
The multiple prize winners were:

Runner up to the Hidden Weight was Jack Greenwell - 3 lb. 6 oz. - Fishing Rod with Case - Wajax Industrial
Largest Rainbow Trout - Frank Holt - 4 lb. 4 oz - Igloo Cooler on Wheels - $60 value - North Thompson Fish & Game
Largest Sport Fish - Ron Hidson - 2 lb. 2 oz - Zip Top Tool Bag - from Barriere Auto Parts
Overall Greatest Weight per Entry - Tristan Holt - 9 lbs - 3 oz total - TFal Cookware - Butler RV
Farthest Away Entrant - Maple Ridge - Mr. and Mrs. Burslam
Family Weights winner - Rod Dobson, Father and Taalishia Daughter
Other prizes that were issued were: Oldest Fisher Person, Largest Game Fish, Child - Best Fish Story and every child went home with a prize.
