Once again the Johnson Lake Resort is hosting the free Kids Learn To Fish program at the resort this year. This will be their 7th Annual Free Kids Learn To Fish Day.
The whole weekend is about teaching children how to fish, and have fun doing it, and is for children ages five to 15 years.
This year there is a choice of two sessions if enough children attend. One on Saturday, June 25, the other on Sunday, June 26, both from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event includes:
• Fish identification and habitat
• Familiarization with fishing rods and tackle
• Learn to tie knots
• Casting and retrieving
• Proper fish handling
• Fishing on beautiful Little Johnson Lake
• A tour to view spawning rainbow trout
• Barbecue lunch included
• Fun for the parents, too
• All fishing gear is supplied
• Prizes and tackle give- aways

Bring your child’s lifejacket if you have one, and cool and wet weather gear – just in case.
