Thanks to the Thompson Nicola Regional District’s gas tax fund the Barriere Curling Club has been granted

$40,000 to do complete energy efficient upgrades to the electrical system in the curling rink building.

Pictured (l-r) are Curling Club director Rodger Nordquist, TNRD Area O director Bill Kershaw, and Curling Club

president Harry Ebert. Ebert says the rink has no ice this winter, but once the upgrades have taken place, the

club is looking forward to many good days of curling for the 2018/2019 season. The rink is situated on the fall

fairgrounds, just off Dunn Lake Road in Barriere.
