True Grit is back! April 9, 6 p.m. at the North Thompson Agriplex in Barriere.

This year, D’N’B Rodeo Stock are presenting the True Grit BIG “4” Rough Stock and Barrel Racing indoor event.  There will be no cattle events.

The BIG “4” events featured are bareback riding, saddle bronc, bull riding, and ladies barrel racing.

There will be $1000 added for rough stock and $500 added for barrels. The entry secretary says they are only accepting the first 75 barrel racers to start at 11 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 9, and the top 20 will then move on to the evening performance.

The admission gates will be open at 5 p.m., with the BIG “4” event starting at 6 p.m. sharp. Adults $12, seniors and students $10 and kids 10-years-old and under FREE.

Don’t miss the grand entry by the Cariboo Cowgirls Drill Team, and ‘Get Down Rodeo Clown’ Jayson Charters in the arena as well.

If you’re are looking for a “cool one” the John Wayne saloon and beer gardens are just inside the door to the arena, hosted by the Barriere Lion’s Club

Get ready to kick up your heels in the Agriplex banquet hall when the Legion’s Cabaraet Dance gets underway at 9 p.m. Advanced tickets only ($15) and no minors.
