Two great fishing weekends in North Thompson start this week with Father's Day Fish Derby and Free Kids Fish Day June 21,22

Anglers are enjoying the month of June on local waterways with the Annual North Thompson Fish and Game Club Society’s Father’s Day Fishing Derby this Sunday.  Entries will be fishing the waterways within a 50 km radius of the Barriere Post Office, and bringing their catch to the Bandshell at 4 p.m.

 

June 21 and 22, is the annual Free Kids Fishing Day at Johnson Lake Resort, with two sessions this year if participation warrants from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Teaching kids to fish and having fun doing it is the motto of the weekend.  Go to: www.johnsonlakeresort.com or call 250-434-4111 to register.
