Community of Barriere raises over $5,000 for Alzheimer's Society

Have you noticed the egg section at your local grocery store is expanding? Gone are the days of simply choosing between brown or white eggs. There are so many labels and claims associated with eggs that it is hard to determine what they mean let alone which product is the best choice.

Get out of the winter blah’s and into a good book. There are lots of new titles to choose from at the Barriere Library, as well as a wide variety of DVD’s and audio books.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s 2011 Report on Canadians’ Health warns that nine out of 10 Canadians are jeopardizing the quality and length of their lives. The Foundation found that many Canadians are in denial about their risk factors for heart disease such as being overweight and being physically inactive − risk factors they can manage and control.
