The Barriere Bears teir one volleyball team from Barriere Elemetary were all smiles after their final game of the season on Nov. 16 at Aberdeen Elementary. The grade 6 and 7 girls team had “won some, and lost some” but the final consensus was “everyone had a good time”, even the little baby sister who managed to crash the photo!

The funds were raised by the Chinook Cove Tuesday Night Ladies Golf during their annual Cancer Research Fun Night on Aug. 22. Leslie Stirling says, “We put the fun in fundraising. In the past six years the ladies have raised a total of $27,994.”

Barriere golfers take the “Big Woody”

Barriere golfers take the “Big Woody”

The annual inter- club golf tournament between Barriere (Chinook Cove Golf Course) and Clearwater (Lacarya Golf Course) was held on Aug. 12 and 13. The tournament is called “The Big Woody” and is played over two days, one day at on each course. Fourteen members competed from each club, resulting this year with Chinook Cove Golf Club being the victor. The tournament always provides tough competition, but it is a great social outing and fun was had by all.
