Ladies Golf Night at Chinook Cove brings in $5,456 to fight cancer

Tuesday Ladies Golf Night is all about fun. Oh sure, we golf. We hit the ball. We putt. Some folks win prizes. We dine on the great food served up by the clubhouse. The thing that is most important is…we have fun. But once each summer we are serious. Last Tuesday, Aug. 22, was our annual Golf for Cancer fundraiser. Many have dealt with the horrors of cancer – the uncertainty, the pain, the expense, the loss. We set aside one Tuesday night each summer. We collect pledges. We gather prizes.

This is shameful vandalism and the fishing and recreation community who use that area are extremely upset. If you have any information about this senseless vandalism please contact Crimestoppers or the RCMP.
